Hi there to my friends, family, workmates and fans,

I’m shaving my lid for a brave kid!

I’ll be shaving my lid on 23rd Novemeber at 3.15pm, Avonhead School Hall. Come down and watch, it’ll be heaps of fun!

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I’m passionate about the cause and willing to lose my locks to prove it!

Please sponsor me as I participate in funrazor. All money raised goes to the Child Cancer Foundation.

My personal reasons for doing this:

I am doing this because I want to support CCF and what they do for these amazing kids and their families.
I personally received much care and support from CCF when my younger sister went through her treatments as a young child. They are amazing people!

Also, Emily Wooddin - a previous student of mine has gone through many treatments with her cancer. She is the bravest happiest child I know with a gorgeous and infectious smile! She herself has raised money for children like her - so giving!

So, there's just a few reasons to help support a great cause! Let's see these kids through this time!
