Hello to our friends, family, workmates and fans,

Bucklands Beach Intermediate's annual "Teachers Get Shaved" is back for 2012!

This year we have new rules, new targets and a new charity to donate towards so get behind us as we try to reach our goal of $10,000. We also have a BBI first with a female joining us in the shave!

We will be shaving our heads on 9th March at 12pm in the BBI school hall. Make sure you come down and watch, it’ll be heaps of fun!

If we hit our target of $10,000 then Mrs Parkinson (Principal) will join in the fun and cut her hair!

All participants will be trying to avoid their personal target of $500, because if they go past that, a student will get to shave their head in whatever way they want!

Just so you know: More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving our heads for a brave kid, we are helping raise the $5 million required each year for child and family support services. We are passionate about the cause and willing to lose our locks to prove it!
