Two cities, Two marathons, Two people, One cause..........

Training is well underway for our first marathon, which takes place later in the year. The cities are separated by 14,198 kilometres, and the marathons one week apart. Trent competing in the Auckland Marathon on 31 October, and Celia in the New York City marathon on 07 November, to help raise funds for Heatcraft Australasia’s charity of choice Make-A-Wish.

Celia was very lucky to gain a place in the NYC marathon via the lottery application process. Most International entrants apply through the Official International Travel partners (ITP) and those spaces are very limited. Only a small portion (including athletes with disabilities) are selected through the lottery drawing. The Adidas Auckland marathon once again had an unprecedented demand for entry, and sold out in a record six weeks, so Trent was also lucky to gain entry to this prestigious event.

This is the second year Heatcraft have supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

Trent and Celia hope to bring joy to the lives of more children this year with their fundraising efforts and appreciate in advance donations made to this very worthy charity.

So my challenge this time round is that you run around OTH in the opposite direction (the way i run round)on alternative days for the next two weeks (6/9 - 17/9). Trent each time you do the OTH cone, you need to go backwards and Celia you need to do lunges up the cone.
