I am Taking The Plunge at the Heart Children Heart Stopper Challenge at Cathedral Square on Friday 22 May with my fellow colleagues:

My name is Darren Henderson, my son Tjas is a heart child.

Did you know that kids with heart defects are often cooled down in ice prior to heart surgery. They are the inspiration for the Heart Stopper Challenge.

We will all plunge into a pool of icy water and stay in for five minutes.

I will be turning blue in a Christchurch winter to fundraise as much as I possibly can for this great cause.

It's a great way to support heart kids and gain some insight into their experience.

Heart Kids and their families need our support.
