Shave day, excuse the squint, it was sunny

My daughter Stacey who helped shave my head

Hi there to my friends, family, workmates and fans,

I’m shaving my lid for a brave kid!

I’ll be shaving my lid this April, joining my work mate Susan.

I'll be shaving my head at South New Brighton School, where my daughter Stacey attends.

Like you I see these kids in the news & my heart breaks. But what if it was my/your kids?? I'm sure they all seemed healthy till the Dr said the "C" word. Then as a parent your whole world comes crashing down.

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I’m passionate about the cause and willing to lose my locks to prove it!
