Hi there to my friends, family, workmates and fans,

I’m shaving my lid for a brave kid!

I’ll be shaving my lid on the last Wednesday of term at the Tauranga Girl's College shcool hall at lunch time. You should come and watch, it will be awesome.

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I've never before had too much of a thought for this cause but when the idea of shaving off all my hair for cancer I, on the spur of the moment, decided to just go for it. Since then I have researched the issue and have discovered a real heart for this cause. It would be great if you guys could all get behind me in this.
