Kia Ora friends and whanau!

I'm taking part in Funrazor 2011 to raise money for the child cancer foundation.

I have been growing my tresses for many years and in two months I am going to shave my lid for a brave kid!

I’ll be going under the razor on Sunday the 27th November at 2pm, at my whare - 54 Pacific Street, Dunedin. Come down and watch, it’ll be heaps of fun (and I might need the moral support)!

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I’m passionate about the cause and willing to lose my locks to prove it!

Please sponsor me as I participate in funrazor. I am aiming to raise $2000 by the end of November. All money raised goes to the Child Cancer Foundation.

Oh and you should get them to do something wacky with your hair before they shave it all off - I tried a Mohawk :-)
