Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 5th June 2010 at 7am I will be commencing the Kona half-ironman 70.3 event.
This involves a 1.2mile swim, 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run to finish it/me off. Hence 70.3 miles.
My entry to the Kona, Hawaii half-ironman will not only be an intense personal challenge but also has provided an opportunity to raise some sponsorship money for Parkinson's New Zealand and Parkinson's UK which may in some small way help in the understanding of this condition and those who suffer from it.
Parkinson's disease has profoundly affected my family and a number of my family's friends and although currently no cure has been found, progress is steadily being made and in time treatments will improve.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you all so much for your kind and generous donations. I have now completed the event on Saturday in a time of 6 hours 9 minutes. It was a challenge in the heat but a very rewarding event to finish to a great atmosphere in Hawaii.
It is still possible to donate if anyone is visiting the site for the first time. All donations gratefully received. Thank you once again so much.
