Hi there to my friends, family, schoolmates, teachers, nurses, doctors, and fans,

WE DID IT!! I shaved my lid for a brave kid.

Last year I got very sick with Osteomyelitis, it is a bone marrow infection. It has taken 8 months to recover. It is not cancer, but while I was sick in Waikato Hospital I met lots of very sick kids. My Mums friend Fiona was battling cancer at the time, we would go and visit her on my good days if she was well enough. Unfortunately Fiona has now passed on and left her young family behind. Because of this and my experience in hospital, I would like to 'SHAVE MY LID' for kids cancer.

Did you know that more than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I’m passionate about the cause and willing to lose my curls to prove it! I had many friends join me, ... including my Nana Nett!!

All money raised goes to the Child Cancer Foundation.

WE HAVE HAD THE BIG SHAVE!! WHAT A GREAT DAY. THE SCHOOL HALL WAS PACKED AND WE HAD SO MUCH FUN. SO FAR WE HAVE MADE $11,000 DOLLARS. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT MADE THIS DAY POSSIBLE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND DONATIONS. IF ANYONE ELSE IS OUT THERE THINKING ABOUT DOING THIS...... JUST DO IT. ITS THE BEST FEELING KNOWING THAT YOU ARE HELPING KIDS WITH CANCER!!
