In 2004, myself & my 4-year-old son stayed at Ronald McDonald House in Christcurch, while my wife & baby Twins were in Hospital. My daughter, Zoe, was born with club feet (talipes). She had surgery on both feet simultaneously, and was in hospital for about a week. While my son and I were at Ronald McDonald House, I met several children who had Cancer. I felt so helpless...like I wanted to do something to help them, but I had no idea what! Now, with the Funrazor event, I can help them. So, please sponsor me, and help me to make a difference.
--------------------------------------
150 children in NZ are diagnosed with cancer a year. In fact, cancer is still the leading cause of death behind accidents, of children in NZ. The Child Cancer Foundation believes that no child suffering from cancer, or their family, should ever feel alone. I'm determined and committed to helping the Foundation in their mission but I need your help. Please support me as I participate in funrazor – or rather, shave my lid for a kid!
All money raised goes to the Child Cancer Foundation for giving kids with cancer and their families a really cool Christmas, and helping to fund ongoing support for them throughout the year.
I am making a huge personal commitment to this event and challenge you to match my commitment by sponsoring me.
On Thursday 6th December funrazor will be held throughout NZ. I will be getting my head shaved for the Funrazor charity event, at 5:30pm, at the Speights Ale House, Timaru.
Thanks for your support.
