I’m shaving my lid for a brave kid!

I’ll be shaving my lid on 18th March at Westfield Shopping Centre Hamilton from 12 midday till 2pm Come down and watch, it’ll be heaps of fun!
3 years ago I gave birth to a stunning little boy (Aiden), at birth specialists discovered a mass in his throat obstructing his airway. Aiden has undergone intensive treatment and several surgery’s, however his condition is one that he will have to live with for the remainder of his life. Throughout this experience Child Cancer Foundation have stood by me. The support they have provided me and my family has really made a huge difference and I’m sincerely grateful for the time and hard work they put into supporting families through these tough times. This is my opportunity to give something back and I’m hoping everyone will get on board and show their support.

I hope to gather as many people as possible to join me to also shave their lids for a brave kid! I understand this is not for everyone, so for those of you who wish not to shave their lids just the support will be great, come along! And for those of you interested in getting on board and shaving your lid visit http://www.funrazor.org.nz/ From there you can register your Lid to be shaved and email prompts will direct you how to set up your own fundraise page linked to Child Cancer Foundation and create for the same event details as myself, you then can share this link of the Child Cancer Foundation Facebook site to make everyone aware of your participation. Donations can be made safely online through this site or on the day at the event, thanks very much for your support.

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving my lid for a brave kid, I’m helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. I’m passionate about the cause and willing to lose my locks to prove it!
