STOP PRESS: Just finished my run - in 1hr,47mins! I had to totally rely on all of your sentiments to get me through those last, agonising kms but I did it. There was literally bloodshed, as I had a bleeding nose within 10 minutes of starting, which wasn't great, but managed to slog through with no other ailments. Now time for a shower and a power nap. Thanks to you all for being there for me.

Most of you know that I'm passionate about the kids at Starship and my role as head of the Starship Foundation.

That's why I'm prepared to again pull on my shoes and fancy running singlet (thanks to sponsors, TCL Izuzu!). Yes, I'm putting my scrawny body on the line to raise some much-needed funds. But I need all the help I can get from you - big or small, I'm deeply grateful!

If you've seen me in training, I'm clearly not the fastest or most elegant runner, but I'm determined to do my best.

I'm also running in memory of my late Mum and Dad, who taught me the values that I hold dear today and who continue to be my inspiration.
