Hey everyone! Thanks heaps for visiting my fundraising page.

In support of my sister who has inspired me with her passion and dedication to The Green Gecko Project, I am going to do a 'copy cat' shave of my own beautiful locks if I manage to raise my own $5,000!

**The story of each and every green gecko will touch your heart if you have the time to hear it. Despite the hardest of starts in life, these kids are absolutely beautiful in energy, compassionate, proud, funny, enthusiastic, bright and FUN - in essence they are kids! They are so lucky to have a place in the Green Gecko Project, uplifting them from begging on the streets of Siem Reap, giving them a better chance at life and allowing them to be kids. The love, well rounded education and holistic care Tania & Rem provide the kids is so admirable and inspiring.

The Green Gecko Project is empowering these children with skills, education, care and support to enable them to break the begging cycle and live to their highest potential**

I think it's so important to remember that we are part of a great big world filled with communities in need. I'm a huge fan of our Glen Innes and the wider Tamaki community. I am a part of an awesome bunch of youth and community workers who have so much passion and dedication for our own community - The Green Gecko Project echoes that passion and love for youth and I just adore that.

So come on! I need heaps of people to just give as much as they can each! YOU can be one of those lucky people! It would be soooo awesome to beat Lauren to the target too!! (hehe)

Since beginning our fundraiser I've been asked time and time again, why your hair?? Even donations offered if I was to NOT shave my hair! This was a completely unexpected response but as more and more people supported me NOT shaving my hair off I got to thinking and the fundraiser has evolved...

Every donation now votes for me to either shave or for me not to! Once I've have raised $5000, I will do whichever the donations have decided - whatever amount is larger! So! Which side will you support? To Shave or Not To Shave...

Let me know in your comment when you donate online and if you've already donated and didn't specify then give me a bell so I can add your amount to the SHAVE or DON'T SHAVE totals :)

And don't worry, either way (of course) all proceeds will be forwarded to the Green Gecko Project!
