The CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust is sending a team to participate in the 2010 New York Marathon which kicks off in New York on 7th November 2010 and I'm ONE OF THE TEAM!

This means that I am going to WILLINGLY run for 42km, in order to raise funds for the CatWalk Foundation. The CatWalk Foundations philosophy of getting people back on their feet after spinal injuries is important to me. I am a personal trainer and pilates instructor, and I work with a lot of rehab clients. I see what happens when people are able to do things that they thought they would never be able to do again, and thats just after minor injuries. If we can get people up and around after a spinal injury then that would be incredible.

As I am fortunate enough to be able-bodied, I will run this marathon to help the people that cannot. So please donate, and contribute to making life better for those with spinal injuries!!

The ING New York Marathon is one of the worlds great road races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants. The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for the more than $600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance to excel in the media capital of the world before more than two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers.

Any of the more than 700,000 past participants will attest, crossing the finish line in Central Park is one of the great thrills of a lifetime.

Everyday the CatWalk team are working together to fulfil their goal to help people living with spinal cord injuries get out of their wheelchairs and back on their feet - this is our opportunity to get behind them.

By supporting the CatWalk 2010 New York Marathon team you'll be supporting the steps needed to make it possible!

All funds raised will go towards spinal cord injury research and changing the future that will improve the quality of life for those affected by spinal cord injury.
