Well we did it!!!

This year was the third year running Fat Man cycled the 160k (100 miles) around Taupo. Fat Man is also completing a "virtual" bike ride across New Zealand - details at www.fatmanfit.com

In 2005 Fat Man had just reached 50 and cycled Rotorua to Taupo(100K) as his first "big" ride and his first real attempt to lose weight and get fit - it worked on both counts and along the way over $12000 was raised for the Red Cross

But the then "Littler Fat Man" got bigger, so he has got back on his bike once more and started to follow the Weightwatchers Points Program again that worked so well for him in 2004/5.

Fat Man Fit (or at least "Getting Fitter") is raising money for Heart Children, children who face great personal challenges every second of every day - challenges that make cycling 160 kilometres around Taupo look very, very easy.

Fat Man was assisted in the Taupo ride by the very able cyclist "Little Boy" Ashley Sadler who was there to support him and carry him over the finish line!!! This was Little Boy's first time in doing the full 160K.

We really need your help to make a difference for these young people.

Although the Taupo event is finished, these children still need your help so please could you sponsor us? Every cent and dollar will make a difference and help towards our $5000 target. This site will remain open until that target is reached.
