Save the Children New Zealand is giving 20 people the opportunity to raise vital funds to support their work while undertaking an unforgettable and challenging journey to Nepal.
This trip will give participants the opportunity to trek the stunning Himalayan Mountain ranges of Nepal and visit two of Save the Children’s projects in the Baglung region. Participants will enjoy the wonderful cuisine and ancient culture while at the same time seeing first hand the crucial support work being done by Save the Children.
The trek will run from 13-25 November, participants will trek for five days along the breathtaking Annapura trail, starting in Syauli and finishing in Pokhara. The trek is fully supported, with local guides and porterage assisting all participants along the way.
Save the Children has worked in Nepal since 1984, with a core focus on programs in early childhood development, primary education, school health and nutrition and adolescent development. Funds raised from the Nepal trek challenge will go towards these programmes in Nepal that give children the chance of a better future.
