Heart 2 Heart 160km Challenge

Support Heart Children NZ to raise $160,000 at the Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge to help the more than 600 children born each year with serious heart conditions.

As a cyclist in the Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge you can help children by signing up for the ‘Heart to Heart 160k Challenge’. It’s really easy! All you need to do is set up your own web page, get friends and family to sponsor you or your team’s ride, for just $1, a km. Isn’t that awesome!

You just send your web page link to everyone you know and ask them to send it off to all their friends and family and they all can sponsor your ride online. It’s that easy. Your fundraising goal can be anything. But if you get sponsorship of $1 for km you can raise $160 for your ride. If you are only doing 40 km you can raise $40 or you can still raise $160 as a team. Wouldn’t that be great!

Your $160 can provide two heart children with medic alert bracelets which can save their lives, train three families in life-saving Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and purchase eight phone cards for families with a heart child in hospital to keep in touch with friends and family at home.

Donations made in New Zealand are tax deductible and a taxation receipt will be issued for donations by Heart Children.
