Shave your lid for a
brave kid
funrazor is an annual fundraising event whereby bold New Zealanders shave their head to raise money to support brave kids with cancer and their families.
The children the Child Cancer Foundation support are on a challenging journey. Did you know for example that New Zealand children with cancer undergo a total of 75,000 treatments and procedures each year?
This year funrazor will be held during the month of November across the main cities throughout New Zealand. But feel free to shave your lid whenever you would like during the year!
To register to shave your lid for a brave kid visit www.funrazor.org.nz and fill out the online registration form.
Once registered the next step is to gather sponsors and supporters and challenge colleagues, companies, teams and competitors to join funrazor and help out this worthy cause.
funrazor originated in Christchurch in 2003 and in 2006 expanded to become a national event. In 2006, over 900 people shaved their lid for a kid, raising $380,000 across New Zealand - setting a new Guinness World Record for the most heads shaved in an hour! All money raised goes towards helping us raise the $5 million required each year for child and family support services.
Thanks to our fantastic radio partners and the hairdressers around the country who will shave our heads.
