Last year I completed my first Marathon in the Gold Coast, Australia and based on my time in that event have qualified for entry to the 2010 New York Marathon which kicks off in New York on 7th November 2010.

Recently I heard about the CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust which is sending a team to participate in the 2010 New York Marathon. I wanted in on the action and to get behind what I think is an amazing cause so I'm joining the Team! Now I need the help of all my lovely whanau and friends to get behind the cause too! My charge out rate is $100 per km...yep I don't come cheap... help me reach my goal of raising $4220.00 Appreciate whatever support you can give MWAH xxx

This premier event, the ING New York Marathon is one of the worlds great road races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants. The race attracts many world-class professional athletes, not only for the more than $600,000 in prize money, but also for the chance to excel in the media capital of the world before more than two million cheering spectators and 315 million worldwide television viewers.

Any of the more than 700,000 past participants will attest, crossing the finish line in Central Park is one of the great thrills of a lifetime.

Everyday the CatWalk team are working together to fulfil their goal to help people living with spinal cord injuries get out of their wheelchairs and back on their feet - this is our opportunity to get behind them.
