Hi everyone and welcome to our Funrazor page.

A group of Rongotai College students and teachers have shaved their heads in support of Nick McKee, a student at the college who was recently diagnosed with cancer. We would like your help to raise as much money possible either by donating online or by sponsoring us. All donations will be collected after the event and given to the Child Cancer Foundation to help them continue the amazing work that they do everyday and the families they support.

Currently we are running a raffle using some of the items we received from some stores we talked to about support for our cause. Noel Leemings Lyall Bay kindly donated a milkshake maker and a cookie maker, The Children's Book Shop Kilbirnie kindly donated Wolf Island By Darren Shan, Rush by Jonathan Friesen and a Wheres Wally Book.
Raffle tickets are $1 each and can be purchased at the stationery office or some of the boys who are selling them. The raffle will be drawn on Thursday 14th of July
First Prize = Milkshake maker, Wolf Island by Darren Shan and a Wheres Wally Book
Second Prize = Cookie Maker and Rush by Jonathan Friesen

Our heads are now bald and were ready for a cold winter. The Funrazor went really well and thanks to everyone who was involved.

More than three children on average per week in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer. Each year New Zealand children with cancer collectively undergo an astounding 75,000 treatments and procedures throughout their journey. For each one they receive a Bead of Courage… The Child Cancer Foundation is committed to supporting children with cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis, throughout their journey of treatments and subsequently the transition back into the community.

By shaving our heads, we're helping raise the $3 million required each year for child and family support services. We're passionate about the cause and willing to lose our hair to prove it!
