Welcome to The Silence of the Lab

The Silence of the Lab

PAGE CREATOR: Laboratory for Evolution and Development
EVENT: UNICEF NZ's UNDERCOVER
EVENT DATE: 31/12/2011

UPDATE: Check out the Otago Daily Times coverage of the Silence of the Lab!

Malaria is a major cause of death in developing nations killing one to three million people per year, the majority children. Malaria transmission can be reduced through the distribution of simple mosquito nets. Please help purchase and distribute mosquito nets to those who need them by supporting The Silence of the Lab.

The Laboratory for Evolution and Development are going two days without talking to raise money for UNICEF's Undercover Malaria Campaign.

The Rules: We will be silent for the entire working day on both the 27th and 28th of May. Exceptions are made for any lab members who have to teach during that time, and for Peter Dearden to answer the phone. Any lab member who breaks their vow of silence will be assigned a lab job (tip racking, cleaning, etc.) for the next month.

Select the "Make a donation" button below. It's simple, fast and secure.

If you live in New Zealand your donation is tax deductible and a receipt will be issued.

If you would rather make a cash donation, contact a Dearden Lab member or email tamsin.jones@otago.ac.nz.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support,

The Lab for Evolution and Development
